Well it was our last day out north. We went to cut around some camp grounds to make it more purty for the campers....like all of you folk. All though from what I have seen the camping up here is not that great. This particular camp ground is in the middle of an old fire burn. I am tlaking a fire that came through here and burned thousands of acres all around. So the only thing that you would be coming here for are the mts, which are not that pretty, and the rivers. That is the best thing about this particual camp site (Cripple Creek Campground) it is located right on the banks of a river you can fish out of and also canoe down as well.
The work was not difficult once again. We just were thinning the areas about 5 feet off both sides of the road and that took all day. The good news is it did snow on us agian. Raise your hands if you got snowed on this week also. Those of you that did not raise your hands, all of you, then i tell you what you are for sure missing out. I mean it was reaining right when we sat down for lunch...and then it startd to snow right as we were getting done with lunch. But again don't worry it did not stop after lunch. Oh no, Alaska made sure that we were nice and wet the rest of the afternoon. All and all it was a good day a little wet but a good day.
We are getting our ears tested tomorrow. This is the way that the governement can cover themselves froma lawsuit down the road from one of us saying that this job made us deaf. It is just the governement covering their rear like they do so well. I hope to have the same hearing levels i did last year. And for Ashley this means a lot better then yours. Mine last year were like a 3 and 5. So nothing really even damaged yet.
I will let you know if we get some project work this weekend or not. For my sake I hope we do get project work because I only have about 59 hours overtime (OTS). Since we like to always be beating Chena....we will have to get some sort of work this weekend, becaue Chena is heading off the coldfoot again for the weekend...so they will get OTS.
Love to all
