It is that time again

Well for those of you that do not know, I am back in Alaska. I left Illinois April 16th to help my friend Shauna move from San Jose to Yakima Washington. I flew from MDW to San Jose where Shauna picked me up. I got into the airport pretty late so we just went backed to her palce and met her roomate (Jesse) and fell asleep.
We got up the next morning and went to San Francisco. We had a nice time driving to the city just jamming out to some music. In San Francisco we went to the bread museum. I know it sounds kind of lame but it was actually pretty cool. We saw how they make the bread, which we were both very interested in for some reason. We also took a trolley ride through the city where we learned some history and also had the most annoying tour guide ever. Not only did he tell the worst jokes but then he proceeded to laugh at them himself. And normally he would be the only one laughing and to top it off he had the most annoying laugh known to man. so then after the trolly we went to Ghiredelli Chocolate place and bought some chocolate, of course, then went to a little dinner over looking the Golden Gate bridge.
About that time I made plans to join Kelly in Oakland after she got off work so we headed out of San Fran. We met Kel and was only able to hve one drink with her but at least we got to see eachother. We had a good time hanging out in some bar, it sounds like she is doing good but seh does not like her job at all. so I hope that she is able to have a good summer to make up for it.
For the night we went back Shauna's and had some people over to have a going away bash. It turned out to only be about 15 people but we had a great time. We all were just hanging out just drinking and listening to the music having just a real chill night. i met some really good people that night one which I am going to keep in touch with, Alex a girl that she worked with.

The next day me ans Shauna set out to get the Uhaul, pack then thing and hit the road. It took quite a bit out of us to pack the Uhaul because we were still both a little on the drunk side but we finally got out of San Jose around noon. The drive took about 15 hours. It was a pretty uneventful drive. Our saving grace was that we had my Ipod so we listened to that most of the time. The truck's engine light turned on right away but we said the hell with it and kept on driving, and we made it with no problems.

When we got there we hung out in Yakima for the next few days. It was a really good time in YAkima just hanging out and not doing anything. Shauna just wanted to watch movies and sit on the couch because she has been workign pretty hard for the past 2 years. So what we did was just sit there and watch some movies. It was relaxing jsut what i needed. As you all know it has been pretty stressful this past 6 months for me.....Ha Ha. anyways we just were just veggin out.

When I got to Seattle I was not able to meet Sarah at the airport bc of something called pulling a pelz. For those of you reading this, that last statement could be considered offensive, but really it is a phrase that is used in my job. Because at times I screwed up I was not able to meet Sarah bc I did not manage my time wisely
But when she got there I was able to meet her downtown which then we walked back to the hotel and then out to dinner. She got in to downtown abotu 730 so we did not eat dinner til aobut 10 or so. But non the less it was so awesome whe was able to come out. The next morning we got up walked to Experience music project. We had a good time there we did some jamming out in some record studios hopefully those of you that get to see Sarah (Not ME) will be able to see some pics. We then went to the undergorund Tour in Pioneer square where we slammed a beer and then toured. Our tour guide was very funny so that made the tour good. We then went to Smith Tower to the oberservation deck. that was a decent view. At one point (1914) in history it was the largest building West of the mississippi river. Then we went to dinner with her cousin Jennifer and boyfriend at a little mexican restuarnt. It was good.
Her cousin and man were a fun to chat with. unfortunately we were not able to hook up with them again but it was good to meet someone on Sarah's side since she met all of my side. The next morning we went to Jeff and Amandas and dropped our big bags off and then went right the city for more adventures. This day was actually alot of fun. We took the Bainbridge island Ferry and decide that we were going to ride around the Island. Lets just say that we should not have gone nearly as far as we did. By the last 1/3 of the biking Sarah was done with the hills. It was a gorgeous ride but it was a little to hilly for our likings. We loved the the day though. It was beautful and sunny all day long. When we got back to the mainland we went to the Pike Brewing Co. and got some clams and had some potent beer with a aritchoke and crab pizza. A very well deserved meal. Then we treated our self to a Stout brownie. Yummie.

The last day we went to the aboretum with Jeff and Amanda which was after a great breakfast made by Jeff and Amanda. Quite gracious hosts by the way if you ever get out there within the next month or so. So we walked around the aboretum for most of the day, saw the japanese gardens and then went to Alki Beach. I did not like Alki beach at the time we were there. I think that that is the closest thing to a beach to the Seattleans but that is not for me.

All in all the trip was awesome. I am so glad that Sarah got to come out and that we had such amazing weather. Thank you Shauna for the hospitatlity. Thanks Jeff and Amanda for such a great hosts. and Thanks to my loving girlfiend for coming out and taking a chance.

Love E
