I am officially done!!

It is a done deal. To fill you all in on how the end of the seasoln went we left oregon after the wizard fire got a lot of rain. The morning after it rained all night we were told to go start mopping up in the same area we have been working previous. As soon as we got to the top of the mountain out of the buggies and geared up we were told that we were getting reassigned. Now at first that meant, to us, that we were going to a dufferney division on that same fire. But we knew that we were on the most active division because of all the rain.

As it turned out we were actually being reasigned to a completely duffrent fire. So we loaded up and drove back to the Orleans complex. Apparently while it was raining in OR it was sunny and windy in CA. The fire we were now heading to was blowing up. It was a long drive of about 9 hours. So we did something that shocked us all, we stopped in Crater Lake NP. Now for most reading this you probably have no idea what this is but it is amazing. Crater lake is the deepest lake in the US and I believe it is in the top five in the world. WOW.

It was a refreshing break from the boring life we have been ensuing lately. Although it was nasty rainy and crazy gusty it was still a lot of fun. I recently got all the pictures that were taken this year and last year and plan on posting some.

Anyways after having a giddy, almost surreal, time at crater lake we headed to our hotel. We ended up staying on the Orleans fire for 3 days. The days were a joke. We say for an entire 10 hours and did nothing, staging. Then we got to go snagging off a road of any tree that could hit the road. It ended up being incredibly boring and I only got to turn the saw on 3 times that day. It actually snowed on us during our lunch break. So you could imagine how pointless it was for us to be there. This fire was dying so fast that they ended up bringing in showers and a catering unit only to be released the next day. It was so dead that if we stayed another day we were going to be out up for the remaining petion of our tour.

Luckily we ended up being demobed on Monday. So we left Monday afternoon and we have been traveling, doing evals, cleaning and preparing to leave for the next two days. We flew back to Alaska on Thursday, it took all day. On Friday by midafternoon we were laid off. I went out to celebrate with the boys on Friday night. Now I am on a plane heading back home.

The season has been the thoughest season yet because of who I have waiting back home. I have never been more sure of a feeling in my life. Me and Sarah have had a tough time these past 6 months, but we are ready to become a real couple. You know one that actsilly sees eachother on a day to day basis. I can not wait.

Besides missing the heck out of her the actual work this season started off pretty hard. By the end though it was all worth it, that does not mean I will be doing it again though. I mean the money was good we made about the exact same as last year.

This winter though I have some big purchases to make and also I would like to invest some. If any of you have some investment opportunities or suggestions or just advice I will be happy to take it

Can't wait to see everyone and to finally have a summer.
